Rose Earns Second SEC Weekly Honor
BATON ROUGE – Two weeks after being named SEC Freshman of the Week, LSU volleyball player Karli Rose earns SEC Setter of the Week as announced by the league office Monday.
Rose helped the Tigers to a five-set thrilling victory over Tennessee on Friday, tallying a career-high 55 assists to go along with 11 digs for her fifth double-double of the season.
She recorded her sixth double-double of the year on Sunday against Georgia, tallying 54 assists and 11 digs.
On the weekend, Rose did not have an attacking error, recording a total of nine kills on 17 attempts for a .529 hitting percentage. She hit .600 against Tennessee with six kills on 10 attempts. She also picked up five blocks on the weekend to go along with four aces.
On the year, Rose is averaging 9.18 assists per set, which is seventh among the league. She is also picking up 2.27 digs per set.
The Tigers are 9-7 overall and 3-3 in the SEC. They play host to Alabama on Friday at 7 p.m. and No. 14 Florida on Sunday at 1 p.m. Both matches will stream live on SEC Network+.
