Delahoussaye Named Women’s Basketball Director of Recruiting
BATON ROUGE, La. – LSU women’s basketball head coach Nikki Fargas has named Taijh (pronounced Tah-zh) Delahoussaye the program’s new Director of Recruiting. Delahoussaye started this week.
“I’m excited to welcome Taijh to the LSU women’s basketball family,” said Fargas. “She is an LSU graduate who gained a wealth of creative recruiting experience as a student when she worked with the LSU football program under the guidance of Assistant AD for Recruiting Sharon Lewis. She will be a vital part of our staff in our recruiting efforts to sign future Lady Tigers.”
Delahoussaye will oversee all of the women’s basketball team’s recruiting efforts utilizing the skills she learned working with the LSU football team. As a team leader with the LSU football recruitment staff for four years, Delahoussaye is well-versed in the realm of recruiting. She managed special events including football game day, football camps, and official visits made by recruits and their family.
Delahoussaye, a New Iberia native, earned her bachelor’s degree in Sports Administration with a concentration in Sports Commerce and minor in Business in 2018. As a student, Delahoussaye also served as a public affairs intern for the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development. Following graduation, she worked as an office manager with the Hammond Animal Hospital and Pet Lodge.
