Men’s Tennis ITA Championship Run Ends on Day Four

Baton Rouge— The LSU men’s tennis team wrapped up their trip to Tulsa, Oklahoma for the ITA All-American Championship on Tuesday.

“We had a tough start to the tournament, but ended on a high note,” said co-head coach Chris Brandi. “We’re playing well in doubles with duos that likely won’t play together in the Spring. Boris Kozlov is getting better every day and competing at a high level.”

Boris started his Tuesday with a win against Florida State. He won a back and forth first set, then went on to dominate the second set, winning 7-5, 6-1. Kozlov’s tournament run came to an end in the third round of the qualifying draw after running into the No. 115 ranked player from Oregon, being defeated 7-5, 5-7, 6-4.

The Tigers will shift their focus to the ITA Southern Regionals in Auburn, Alabama on October 17-22.
