Tigers Send Eight to Tulsa for the ITA All-American Championship

Baton Rouge–   The LSU men’s tennis team will be travel to the Michael D. Case Tennis Center to Tulsa, Oklahoma for the ITA All-American Championships that run from October 5th to October 13th.

In singles, the Tigers have seven members competing on Saturday and Sunday. Boris Kozlov was chosen for the qualifying singles round and Malik Bhatnagar, Joey Thomas, Daniel Moreno, Nick Watson, Tomas Descarrega, and Ruy Teixeira were chosen for the pre-qualifying singles round.

In doubles, LSU is putting two pairs in the qualifying doubles round. Daniel Moreno will be with Joey Thomas, while Tomas Descarrega will be paired with Ruy Teixeira.

Play begins this Saturday, October 5th, with the pre-qualifying singles followed by qualifying singles on Monday and Tuesday. Qualifying doubles begins play on Tuesday followed by the main draw on Thursday October 10th. The men’s championship final will air live on ESPNU Sunday, October 13th at 7 p.m.
