Athletics Council to Hold Open Meeting with Students

BATON ROUGE — The LSU Athletics Council Working Committee for Effective Accommodation invites LSU students to express interest in recreational, club, and potential varsity sports by attending an open meeting on Tuesday, Oct. 8 at 3 p.m. in the Lawton Room in Tiger Stadium. 

This meeting is one of several methods used to identify and assess LSU undergraduate student’s athletic interests and abilities for the purpose of enhancing opportunities at LSU. 

Interested groups and/or individuals will be asked to make a brief presentation to members of the Athletics Council working committee accompanied by any supporting documentation. The Working Committee will take all information under advisement in their efforts to ensure the University’s compliance with Title IX. 

There is no requirement to have an appointment to attend and present at the meeting. However, in order to communicate presentation needs and have an organized afternoon schedule, participants are asked to contact Miriam Segar, Sr. Associate Athletics Director: or 225-578-5785 to communicate your intent to participate as well as any specific presentation needs.  

Individuals who do not RSVP will present at the end of the afternoon following the scheduled participants.
