Softball Moves Up in National Polls

BATON ROUGE –The LSU softball team is making some moves this week in the national polls, moving up one spot to No. 8 in the USA Today/NFCA Division I Coaches Poll and two spots to No. 6 in the ESPN.com/USA Softball poll.  

LSU has been ranked every week since the end of the 2014 season. The Tigers earned a total of 546 points in the NFCA poll. In the ESPN/USA Softball poll, the Tigers picked up 379 points.

The Tigers play at home Wednesday, playing host to Lamar at 6 p.m. inside Tiger Park. They are back on the road over the weekend, returning to SEC play to take on Georgia Friday through Sunday in Athens.
