Gymnastics Returns to PMAC to Face NC State

BATON ROUGE – The fifth-ranked LSU gymnastics team (2-2, 1-2 SEC) returns to the Maravich Center to take on No. 30 NC State on Friday night inside the Maravich Center.

The Tigers and Wolfpack will compete on SECNetwork+ through WatchESPN.com and the app. Lyn Rollins and Kaleigh Abboud will have the call. Introductions for the meet begin at 7:10 p.m. CT with first vault set for 7:35 p.m.

Breaux Previews Non-Conference Meet
“This is a really good opportunity to build off of our meet last week,” head coach D-D Breaux said. “Getting back in the PMAC is always exciting and we know there will be a great crowd to cheer us on. We want to go in there and execute and hit like we know we are capable of.”

Finnegan. Edney One of Best All-Around Duos
Sarah Finnegan, the reigning SEC Gymnast of the Year, and Kennedi Edney are one of the best all-around duos in the country. LSU is one of two teams in the country that have two gymnasts who have competed in every meet ranked in the top-15 of the all-around. Finnegan and Edney are coming off of all-around wins at Alabama and Finnegan has won the all-around in every meet in 2019.

Meet Promotions
Friday night is the annual Pink and Blue meet to support breast and prostate cancer awareness. There will be 1,000 pink and blue shirts available at the PMAC entrances when doors open at 5:40 p.m. to the general public. LSU students will receive addition points and the first 200 students will receive free McDonald’s chicken nuggets and fries before the meet.

Arrive Early
A great crowd is expected on Friday night. Fans are encouraged to arrive early and purchase tickets online in advance at LSUtix.net.

Many lots around the Maravich Center are free and open to the public, including 101, 104 and 105. North Stadium Drive will be closed to vehicular traffic. Lot 201 and 300 off of North stadium Drive will be reserved. There will also be two fan assistance shuttles serving fans in lots around the PMAC for the first time. The shuttle is free to all fans and begins at 5 p.m.

Fans are reminded that LSU’s Geaux Clear policy is in effect for all sports.
