BATON ROUGE – Following its win over No. 9 Alabama on Friday night, the LSU gymnastics team stayed at fifth in the fourth edition of the RoadToNationals.com rankings.
The Tigers have now ranked in the top-five of the rankings for 32-straight weeks. LSU (2-2, 1-2 SEC) owns a team average score of 196.981 and is coming off a season-high team score of 197.450 at Alabama.
National rankings are based on a team’s overall season average for the first few weeks of the season before switching to the regional qualifying score (RQS).
In addition to the team rankings, LSU is also fourth on bars and beam, fifth on floor and sixth on vault.
Senior Sarah Finnegan is ranked third overall in the all-around with an average score of 39.619 and high of 39.700. Finnegan owns top-15 rankings on all four events, highlights by fourth overall on floor with an average score of 9.937.
The Tigers will face off against NC State on Friday inside the PMAC. Intros begin at 7:10 p.m. CT and the meet will be streamed live on WatchESPN.com and the app.
