Orlando, Fla. – Carter Toms and David Toms finished fifth out of 20 duos at the 2018 PNC Father/Son Challenge on Sunday with a two-round total of 21-under par 123 at The Ritz Carlton Golf Club.
The twosome started off the weekend with a sizzling 12-under par 60 on Saturday that had them in second place after the initial 18 holes. They birdied six straight holes from No. 3 to No. 8 before closing out the back nine with six more birdies for their 60.
They shot a final round of 9-under par 63 on Sunday that earned them the fifth-place finish. The father/son combo birdied No.’s 1, 3, 5 and 7 to start the final round before they closed with five birdies on the back nine (No. 12, 13, 15, 16 & 18).
Davis Love III and his son, Dru, claimed the title with a two-round tally of 26-under par 118.
