BATON ROUGE – The reigning 2018 Southeastern Conference champion LSU gymnastics team will kick off the new season with the sixth annual Gymnastics 101 Showcase at 6:30 p.m. Monday inside the Maravich Center.
The event is free and open to the public with doors opening at 5 p.m. Gym 101 serves as an exhibition meet with the team running through lineups and routines on all four events. A judge will be hon hand to score the routines. Head coach D-D Breaux, associate head coach Jay Clark and assistant coach Bob Moore will also be on the mic to give fans a rundown of the routines.
“This is really an important event to prepare our team for the season,” Breaux said. “To get in the PMAC and front of a fantastic crowd is really important. We are excited to get on a hard surface for the first time and show the nation what this team is about.”
