Breaux Wins Turkey Carving Contest

BATON ROUGE – LSU gymnastics coach D-D Breaux won the ninth annual turkey carving contest at St. Vincent de Paul downtown Wednesday.

Breaux carved the most turkeys followed by Coroner Beau Clark and District Attorney Hillar Moore.

Many dignitaries from the Baton Rouge area took part in the annual turkey carving contest that benefits local families during the Thanksgiving holiday.

St. Vincent de Paul will feed hundreds of people in the community on Thursday.

“I have so much fun volunteering at this event every year,” Breaux said. “It is important to me to give back to my community, and St. Vincent de Paul does an amazing job in putting together this great contest for a very worthy cause.”

LSU is gearing up for the Gymnastics 101 showcase event that will take place on Monday, Dec. 10 in the Maravich Center. The event will start at 6:30 p.m., and admission is free.

In addition, 2018 season tickets are available for purchase at www.LSUtix.net at a cost of $25 for adults and $15 for youth ages 3-12.
