Baton Rouge, La. – The No. 22 LSU men’s golf team will wrap up its fall portion of the 2018-19 schedule as they head to the Tavistock Collegiate Invitational in Windermere, Fla., this Sunday through Tuesday.

The tournament will be hosted at the Isleworth Golf & Country Club that will play as a par 72 at 7,554 yards. LSU will be competing against 14 other squads including seven ranked teams: No. 9 Illinois, No. 10 Texas, No. 13 Vanderbilt, No. 18 Arizona State, No. 22 Auburn, No. 24 South Carolina and No. 25 California. Eighteen holes will be played each day and all three days of competition are scheduled to begin at 7 a.m. CT. LSU will play alongside Illinois and Auburn on day one of the tournament.
LSU will trot out a lineup of Luis Gagne, Trey Winstead, Philip Barbaree, Michael Sanders and Garrett Barber for the Tavistock Collegiate. Barber will tee off first for the Tigers at 7:50 a.m. CT on Sunday and he will be followed by Sanders (8 a.m.), Barbaree (8:10 a.m.), Winstead (8:20 a.m.) and Gagne (8:30 a.m.).

The Tigers are coming off their first win of the season in which they claimed the team title at the David Toms Intercollegiate with a tournament record of 21-under par 843. Winstead claimed the first individual collegiate title of his career with a three-round tally of 7-under par 209. Barber (-5), Sanders (-4) and Barbaree (-3) also earned top-10 finishes at the event.
At the 2017 Tavistock Collegiate, Winstead paced the Tigers with a 3-under par 213 to place ninth. Gagne finished 25th at 2-over par and Barbaree tied for 48th at 7-over par. It will be the first time that Barber and Sanders play at this event.
