INDIANAPOLIS – Incoming freshman Presley Baggett has been named the 2017-18 National Girls’ Golf Athlete of the Year by the National High School Coaches Association (NHSCA).
In May, Baggett won her third overall Mississippi state championship, winning the Class 5A title by nine shots. A competitor for Germantown High School in Madison, Mississippi, she is a four-time member of the All-State Girls Golf Team.
Last week, Baggett won the 2018 Mississippi Women’s Amateur Championship, while taking the Mississippi Junior Golf Association Girls’ Junior Championship crown in 2017.

Baggett is the first Mississippi student-athlete to win the NHSCA Girls’ Golf Athlete of the Year Award.
