BATON ROUGE – After going 45-17 in the 2018 season, the LSU softball team finishes the year ranked in the top 10 of both national polls, coming in at No. 9 in the USA Today/NFCA poll and in the ESPN.com/USA Softball poll.
The Tigers have finished the last four season ranked in the Top 10, which leads the SEC. They have been ranked in the Top 10 the last five out of seven seasons and ranked in the Top 25 every week since the end of the 2014 season.
The Tigers earned 523 total points in the poll from the coaches, while earning 305 points in the USA Softball rankings.
LSU finished the season in the Super Regional round, falling to National Champion Florida State. The Tigers went 45-17 on the year and 35-4 in Tiger Park, the second most home wins in program history.
