SEC Announces 2018-19 Women's Hoops Opponent Rotation

BATON ROUGE – The SEC recently announced the conference opponent rotation for the upcoming 2018-19 women’s basketball season. Over the 16-game schedule, teams will play 10 teams once and three teams twice.

For LSU, home and away matchups will feature national runner-up Mississippi State, Kentucky and permanent partner Texas A&M. Arkansas, Auburn, Florida, Missouri and South Carolina will venture into the friendly confines of the Maravich Center. The Lady Tigers will head out on the road for games at Alabama, Georgia, Ole Miss, Tennessee and Vanderbilt.

“We are excited to get these eight teams in the PMAC this season,” said LSU head coach Nikki Fargas. “Our fans make the PMAC one of the toughest places to play and we are looking forward to the challenge of playing in the toughest conference in the nation.”

The SEC is scheduled to announce exact dates and the broadcast schedule in early August. Conference play is currently set to begin on Thursday, January 3, 2019.
