Baton Rouge, La. Mikiah Brisco and Dajour Braxton of the LSU track and field program have been named to the 2018 SEC Community Service Team, the league office announced on Wednesday.

Brisco and Braxton have been exemplary with their community service in and around Baton Rouge. Braxton helped out local elementary schools with numerous events – Easter Egg Hunt, Reading to Kids, and Field Day. He also attended BooZar, an annual tradition at LSU where student-athletes hand out candy to kids. Brisco was named to the community service team after helping out local Baton Rouge elementary schools with programs such as Helping Teachers, Reading to Kids, and Mentoring Kids. She also participated in LSU events such as BooZar and Thanksgiving with the Tigers.

Brisco is headed to the NCAA Championships in the 100 and 200 meter dash as well as the 4×100 meter relay. The NCAA Championships begin on June 6 and run through June 9 in Eugene, Ore.
