BATON ROUGE – After finishing its season at the NCAA Championship over the weekend, the LSU beach volleyball team came in at No 6 in both the AVCA and DiG Magazine polls to close out the season, announced Monday.
LSU was ranked No. 6 to begin the season by AVCA and has remained in the top-10 for the entire year. Dating back to 2016, the Tigers have been in the top-10 for 21-straight weeks.
The Tigers went 27-14 during the 2018 season, earning their second-straight trip to the NCAA Championship in Gulf Shores, Alabama. LSU tied the program record for most wins in a season this year and defeated a record, 14 AVCA top-20 teams.
