BATON ROUGE – After going 3-0 over the weekend at the Green Wave Invitational and defeating two ranked teams in No. 19 Tulane and No. 12 Grand Canyon, the LSU beach volleyball team held the eighth spot In both the AVCA and DiG Magazine polls, announced Monday.
This is the 17th-straight week that the Tigers have been in the AVCA top-10. LSU has won 12 matches in a row.
LSU will host the Battle on the Bayou this weekend, which will also mark the end of the regular season and the final matches at Mango’s before the Tigers move into their new on-campus facility in September, 2018. LSU will face TCU and No. 11 Georgia State on Saturday before squaring off with seventh-ranked Florida State and Houston Baptist on Sunday.
The Tigers will then travel to Emerson, Georgia for the CCSA Tournament held at the LakePoint Sports Complex on April 20-22.
The NCAA Championships will be held May 4-6 in Gulf Shores, Alabama. The top three teams from east and the top three teams from the west will make the NCAA Championships, plus two at-large teams.
