Women's Hoops Thanks DeMoss For Contributions to LSU

BATON ROUGE, La. – LSU women’s basketball head coach Nikki Fargas has announced that assistant coach Mickie DeMoss will be stepping down from the Lady Tigers program.

“We are so thankful for the two seasons that Coach DeMoss has given us at LSU,” said Fargas. “Her knowledge of the game and the women’s basketball landscape was invaluable to me, our staff and our players. We wish her the best in this new chapter in her life.”

DeMoss joined the LSU staff in the spring of 2016 and sports an amazing collegiate coaching career that has spanned four decades. DeMoss was recently named to the Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame Class of 2018 and will be inducted on June 9 at ceremonies in Knoxville, Tennessee.

“I want to thank Nikki, Director of Athletics Joe Alleva and the great staff at LSU for providing me with this opportunity,” said DeMoss. “I have thoroughly enjoyed my time in Baton Rouge and the recent success we have had as a program.”
