Beach Volleyball Holds No. 10 Spot

BATON ROUGE – After hosting its first home event of the year and going 5-0 with three wins over ranked opponents, the LSU beach volleyball team held its No. 10 spot in the AVCA poll and moved up one spot in the DiG Magazine poll to No. 10, announced Monday.

This is the 15th consecutive week the Tigers have been in the AVCA top-10.

Last weekend, LSU swept the Tiger Beach Challenge, its first of three home tournaments this season. The Tigers defeated No. 20 FAU, No. 17 Stetson and New Orleans on Saturday before coming up with Sunday victories against the College of Charleston and No. 18 Tulane.

The Tigers will host the LSU Beach Invitational this Friday and Saturday, March 30-31, at Mango’s Beach Club off Sherwood Forrest in Baton Rouge. LSU will take on UAB and 15th-ranked Arizona on Friday and will finish the weekend against Texas A&M Kingsville and Jacksonville State on Saturday.
