BATON ROUGE, La.- Emmy Allen and Maddie Ligon were selected to the Coastal Collegiate Sports Association All-Tournament Team for their efforts in the Conference Championships, the conference announced Sunday.
The duo won all five matches on court two over the weekend, knocking off UAB, No. 15 Florida Atlantic, Charleston, No. 9 Georgia State and No. 10 Florida International to help lead the charge for the Tigers.
The tandem took four of their matches in straights and also notched the match-clinching point against Georgia State in three sets, lifting the Tigers to a 3-2 victory over the Panthers during pool play.
Since partnering at the Battle on the Bayou, Allen and Ligon have collected seven wins in the last eight matches for the Tigers with four wins coming against ranked opponents.
