BATON ROUGE – LSU sophomore golfer Kathleen Gallagher was named Southeastern Conference Women’s Golfer of the Week on Monday for her performance in the CCLA Spring Break event here last Thursday.
Gallagher won her first college event in the dual match with ULM by firing rounds of 73-68 to finish the 36-hole event at 3-under par 141. She finished one shot ahead of senior teammate Caroline Nistrup (72-70 – 142).
Gallagher is averaging 74.77 for 26 rounds this season heading into the Southeastern Conference Women’s Championships Friday through Sunday in Birmingham, Alabama.
