BATON ROUGE – LSU reminds fans coming to the Maravich Center for men’s and women’s basketball games that the school’s new clear bag policy “Geaux Clear” is in place.
LSU’s new clear bag policy is in line with what Southeastern Conference member institutions such as Auburn, Florida, Texas A&M, and South Carolina have put in place this year. Additional SEC schools are expected to implement the clear bag policy in the near future.

LSU’s clear bag policy allows for only clear tote bags smaller than 12” x 6” x 12” or one-gallon plastic freezer bags to be permitted in the PMAC and other venues on the LSU campus this year. Bags must be clear and transparent and cannot be tinted, textured or patterned.
In addition, fans are reminded that they may not put a non-clear bag into a clear bag. Small handheld clutch purses, which don’t have to be clear, will continue to be permitted into LSU venues.
All backpacks, regardless of size, are prohibited and any bags larger than 12” x 6” x 12”, clear or non-clear, will be strictly prohibited. Exceptions will be made for approved medical needs and diaper bags (with baby). All bags will be subject to search and inspection.
Clear tote bags that comply with the new policy are available at major retailers in Baton Rouge.
