Softball Series Opener Suspended

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The opening game of the SEC series between the No. 12 LSU softball team and the Arkansas Razorbacks was suspended on Friday due to weather and will be resumed on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. at Bogle Park in Fayetteville with the Tigers leading 9-4 in the top of the fourth.

With two outs in the inning and LSU batting, play was halted and the field was covered as both teams exited their respective dugouts. Rain followed along with persistent lightning extending the delay further. After a meeting with officials it was determined that play would be picked up on Saturday ahead of game two which is scheduled for 6 p.m. later that day.

The resumed game one on Saturday afternoon will not be streamed, however game two will be televised on ESPNU with a link to an online stream available on WatchESPN.
