Golf's Pierce Undergoes Successful Neck Surgery
BATON ROUGE – LSU men’s golfer Brandon Pierce underwent successful surgery Saturday afternoon to repair a fracture in his neck, and is expected to make a full recovery and will continue his college golf career with the Tigers once fully recovered from his injury.
Pierce was swimming with friends on Thursday afternoon when the injury occurred after returning home from the NCAA Division I Men’s Golf Championship. Pierce was already swimming in the water when he hit his head while going underwater causing a fracture to his neck.
The Pierce family is appreciative of the outpouring of support for Brandon and asks that you keep him in your thoughts and prayers as he recovers from this injury.
