Cribbs Earns CEFMA Customer Service Award

BATON ROUGE – Julie Cribbs, LSU Associate Director of Game/Event Management, has been selected as a recipient of the Customer Service Award as announced by the Collegiate Event and Facility Management Association (CEFMA).

The honor was voted upon by her peers and the CEFMA Board of Directors. Cribbs will be recognized for her accomplishments at the 2015 CEFMA Convention held from June 13-15 at the World Center Marriott Resort in Orlando, Florida.

The Customer Service Award recognizes an athletics administrator who has enhanced the quality of an experience in ways that make a significant difference for colleagues or customers.

Cribbs serves as the game/event manager for LSU women’s basketball, softball, volleyball and sand volleyball. She also assists with football and has played an instrumental role in LSU playing host to numerous SEC and NCAA Championship events.

Cribbs manages and works with the Geaux Team Customer Service, a group of college students and interns that was formulated to improve the overall fan experience at LSU events. The influence and important role that this group plays in the overall fan experience at LSU is crucial over the last several years. LSU’s Geaux Team assists any fan with any need at any time, and Cribbs ensures the group does this with a high degree of success and customer satisfaction.

“Julie has done an exceptional job and been a valuable member of our team for eight years,” said Eddie Nunez, LSU Senior Associate Athletics Director for Internal Affairs and Development. “Besides directing the event operations for her respective sports, one of the areas that Julie has truly made a significant impact has been with our Geaux Team. Since she took over the program, Julie has made this group of volunteers a valuable asset to improving the fan experience. She is extremely dedicated and strives to make LSU a better place every day.”
