Brossette Family Fund Established

BATON ROUGE – The Nick Brossette Family Fund has been established by LSU to assist Nick Brossette’s family with essential living expenses due to the unexpected death of his older brother Mendel Esnault.

The death of Esnault leaves the Brossette’s without an income as he was the sole-provider for the family. Brossette’s mom Rita has been battling cancer since 2013 and is currently undergoing a series of chemotherapy treatments and unable to work.

The Nick Brossette Family Fund has been established to assist the family with daily expenses as well as the cost of the funeral. Nick Brossette lives at home with a younger brother.

Under NCAA rules, LSU is permitted to accept financial gifts and manage an account to assist the Brossette family. Those interested in assisting Nick Brossette and his family can make contributions to the Tiger Athletic Foundation by going to www.lsutaf.org.

Per NCAA rules, all contributions of any kind must go through this fund. Donors need to be aware that financial contributions to this fund are not tax deductible and not eligible for LSU Priority Points.

Brossette, the record-setting and state champion running back from University High School in Baton Rouge, signed with the Tigers in February and will be a true freshman for LSU in the fall of 2015.
