'Student Appreciation Day' at Football Practice

BATON ROUGE – For the fourth straight year, head coach Les Miles is inviting the LSU student body to attend football practice as the Tigers will host “LSU Student Appreciation Day” at the Charles McClendon Practice Facility on Thursday, April 16.

LSU students will be able to watch football practice from 3 to 6 p.m. followed by a meet and greet with the players and coaches after practice. To be admitted to practice, students must present their LSU ID as they enter the football operations building. In the event of rain, LSU students will be able to go indoors to watch the Tigers practice.

“I look forward to this event every spring,” Miles said. “I think our players enjoy having their classmates come out and watch practice to get an inside look of what goes on out here as much as the student body does. It’s a fun event for everyone involved.

“I say it all the time, we have great student support and our student body makes a difference on a Saturday night in Tiger Stadium. This is just a small way of saying thanks and letting them know how much we appreciate their support.”

When coming to practice on Thursday, students should park in Lot 108 K, which is across Skip Bertman Drive from the football operations building. Students are asked to enter through the front doors of the football operations building. Check-in for LSU students will begin at 3 p.m. at the front doors of the football operations building.

Thursday’s practice will be the final one before LSU hosts the annual National L-Club Spring Game at 1 p.m. on Saturday in Tiger Stadium. Admission to the spring game is free.
