PORTLAND, Ore. – LSU men’s basketball signee Ben Simmons helped the World Team beat the USA for the third time in four years Saturday in the annual NIKE Hoop Summit.
The World Team won 103-101 as the World Select Team best the USA Men’s Junior National Select Team.
Simmons flirted with a triple double with 13 points, eight rebounds and eight assists.
The Summit continued an amazing month of April for the select group of high school athletes like Simmons who played at the start of the month in the McDonald’s All-America game in Chicago, the National High School Championships in New York with his Montverde Academy team, Saturday’s NIKE Hoops Summit and this Friday, the Jordan Brands Classic at the Barclay’s Center in Brooklyn.
