Three Basketball Players Not Returning in 2014-15

BATON ROUGE – LSU men’s basketball coach Johnny Jones announced on Tuesday that three players will not return to the team for the 2014-15 season.

The three players are:

Shane Hammink, 6-7, Forward, Millingen aan de Rijn, Netherlands
Anthony Hickey, 5-11, Guard, Hopkinsville, Kentucky
Malik Morgan, 6-4, Guard, River Ridge, Louisiana

“These three players will not be a part of the LSU program next season,” said Coach Jones. “We thank them for the contributions they made to the LSU Basketball team and certainly wish them well in their future plans.”

Hammink played in 21 games this past season and 47 games in his two years at LSU. He averaged1.6 points and 1.4 rebounds for his LSU career.

Hickey played in 96 career games over three years, starting 85 with averages of 9.4 points and 3.3 rebounds over that time span. He had 360 career assists to just 159 turnovers and led the league this past season in assist-to-turnover ratio.

Morgan, who was sidelined by a knee injury and subsequent surgery after the Feb. 8 game with Auburn, played in 52 games with 20 starts. He averaged 4.9 points and 3.0 rebounds.
