Women's Tennis Draws MSU in SEC Tournament

BATON ROUGE – The LSU women’s tennis team is set to face Mississippi State at 10 a.m. CT on Wednesday, April 16 in the first round of the Southeastern Conference Tournament.
After compiling a 12-12 (3-10 SEC) record this season, the Lady Tigers earned the No. 11 seed in the tournament.  Mississippi State, who was 9-13 (1-11 SEC) on the season, is the No. 14 seed.
The winner of the match will face No. 6 seeded Tennessee on Thursday, April 17 at 11 a.m. CT. 
LSU and Mississippi State squared off on March 21 as the Lady Tigers topped the Bulldogs 4-3 in a test of endurance.  Four courts were decided in three sets, with Abigail Owens clinching the match as she defeated Timea Guibe 6-2, 4-6, 6-4 on court three.  
LSU holds a 27-10 overall record against the Bulldogs.
