Blogging From The Berm: Allison Falcon

BATON ROUGE – In today’s Blogging from the Berm series, we have our second entry from one of the seniors on the team in infielder Allison Falcon.

The Donaldsonville, La., native who hit her sixth home run of the season on Tuesday night in Monroe talks about returning home to Tiger Park after a two-week long road trip and what it’s meant to her to wear the Purple and Gold in her final season on the Berm.

“Hey Tiger fans!

It’s Allison Falcon here, blogging live from Tiger Park before we open our home SEC series with Tennessee. I’m so glad to be back home in The Boot playing the game I love. Traveling with my team is always fun, but I’m glad that we won’t be running through any airports trying to catch connecting flights for a while. I’m too old for all that. We will even be home next week as we take on Georgia in our fancy teal uniforms! Hope to see y’all here this weekend and next.

Our schedule is as tough as it has ever been in all of my years here. Playing in the SEC means NO off weekends. Literally. With the strength of this conference, I know we will be prepared for anything the postseason can throw at us.

I’m sad that this is probably going to be my last berm blog, but I’m happy to have spent the last five years with amazing people. I love every Tiger fan I have ever met. They mean so much to this program, and I am glad to call them part of my family. I learned how to leave things better than I found them from Coach G, and Coach Torina taught me that just because I can do something, doesn’t necessarily mean that I should. This blog is a lot different than my first one I did as a freshman, and I have learned how to be tough, resilient, and hardworking throughout all my years in the purple and gold.

Geaux Tigers,
Always and Forever LSU.

Allie”
