BATON ROUGE – The Cox Communications Academic Center for Student-Athletes recently launched a redesign of its website.
The CCACSA’s website can still be found at http://www.acsa.lsu.edu/ and features a home page displaying larger images, more content rotators and social media icons. There also is a mobile version of the site now available.
“After reviewing our Google analytics’ data, our Academic Center’s website showed an increase in the number of mobile users visiting the site,” CCACSA’s Information Technology Manager Jonathan Levesque said. “Consequently, we decided to create a brand new site that will be mobile friendly.”
The redesigned website is a response to the modern needs of LSU’s student-athletes and viewers. The site is built on HTML5 architecture giving the user full functionality regardless of the device being used.
“In an effort to remain the premier amongst student-athlete support services, it is imperative that we review our data trends frequently to assist us in developing strategies and objectives towards our strategic plan,” CCACSA Executive Director and Assistant Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs Kenneth Miles said. “Our new website is a data driven decision that answers consumer’s demand while at the same time allowing us to be on the cutting edge of information management infrastructure. We are proud of our relationship with Sidearm Sports as they assist us to build on what we have already established and be a model for others.”
