Blogging from the Berm: Bianka Bell

BATON ROUGE – Back again for the postseason is LSU softball’s “Blogging from the Berm” question and answer format. In this edition, Bianka Bell answer questions about her alter ego “Onka” and which powers she would have if she was a super hero.

The No. 9 seeded LSU softball team embarks on NCAA Tournament play versus Central Connecticut State, the Northeast Conference champion, as part of a four-team running from Friday to Sunday at Tiger Park.

Louisiana-Lafayette and Northwestern State open up the double elimination event with a 3 p.m. Friday first pitch. LSU and Central Connecticut State will follow with a 6 p.m. tilt.

Every game of the NCAA Baton Rouge Regional will have live video inside the Geaux Zone on www.LSUsports.net/live. The LSU games also will be carried live by the LSU Sports Network and Country Legends 104.9 FM in the Baton Rouge area.

All-session and single-season tickets for this weekend’s NCAA Baton Rouge Regional are on-sale at www.LSUtix.net.

Fans can follow every pitch of LSU softball via live in-game updates at the program’s social media outlets @lsusoftball on Twitter and www.Facebook.com/lsusoftball.

Question from Simone Heyward: Which state do you like better: Florida or Louisiana?

“You can’t really compare them, but they are both home for me. Louisiana has an atmosphere that’s hard to explain. If I had to choose between any other states besides Florida, the Big L would be the place to be because y’all can cook and I like to eat.” – Bell

Question from Katie Guillory: What is your most embarrassing moment? Do you like nutella?

“My most embarrassing moment so far would be the base running mishap during the Hampton game back on opening weekend. Luckily, Coach Torina thought it was funny. As for the nutella, heck yes! I steal Kellsi Kloss’ all the time at home. Shhhhh, don’t tell anyone.” – Bell

Question from Rikki Alcaraz: If you could be a superhero for the rest of your life, what would your to powers be?

“I would have super speed and the power to slap people in the face with my mind if they ever got on my nerves.” – Bell

Question from Ashley Czechner: Since you are Beyonce, what is your relationship with Jay Z like?

“It’s a struggle sometimes with our complicated work schedule, but we make due. He’s a doll, and I wouldn’t trade him for the world unless he went broke.” – Bell

Question from Kellsi Kloss: Describe your alter ego “Onka.”

“Onka is an African tribal warrior who is a take charge type of girl. No one messes with Onka because she could spear you at any time. Her best friend is Ico (Rachele Fico).” – Bell

Question from Unknown: Who is your favorite blonde haired, blue-eyed junior who doesn’t have purple hair? Simone Heyward? Just kidding, hi it’s Jacee 🙂

“In other news, I am very excited about the post season with this special team. We definitely have been working hard on the field at practice and on our own. We are hoping it pays off and is enough to get us back to the Women’s College World Series. I’m glad that my freshman year is over in the classroom but am not ready for it to end on the field until after June 5th. I’m looking forward to seeing all of you Tiger fans in the stands supporting your favorite girls in Purple and Gold.”
