Admission to the game is free. Fans are encouraged to arrive early in order to take part in the Fan Fest, which begins at 11 a.m. in Lot A at Tiger Stadium. Fan Fest will feature entertainment for the entire family, including live music and food. There is no charge for the Fan Fest.

The spring game, which will feature the White against the Purple, will be played under normal game conditions for the first and second quarter, followed by a running clock in the third and fourth quarters. There will be no live special teams as all special teams snaps will be controlled with no tackling.

“We’ve had a good spring and all of the work has been done,” LSU coach Les Miles said following Thursday’s practice. “We are looking forward to being in Tiger Stadium for the spring game and getting a chance to see how some of these guys perform in game-like situations with people in the stands.

“I think we’ve made improvement in all phases during the spring and we’ve been able to give some of the young guys a lot of reps.”

Quarterback Zach Mettenberger along with running back Jeremy Hill and wide receivers Odell Beckham, Jr., and Jarvis Landry highlight the offense for the White team, while the defense will be led by linebacker Lamin Barrow, safety Craig Loston and defensive tackle Anthony Johnson.

True freshman Ethan Pocic will start at center for the White team, while redshirt freshman Jerald Hawkins will start at right guard.

The Purple team will feature two true freshman quarterbacks in Anthony Jennings and Hayden Rettig.

They will be joined by running back Kenny Hilliard, fullback J.C. Copeland and wide receivers James Wright, John Diarse, and Kadron Boone.

Defensively, the Purple squad will feature three sophomore linebackers in Kwon Alexander, Lamar Louis, and Deion Jones along with true freshman defensive end Christian LaCouture.

Miles said that the only quarterback wearing a green (non-contact) jersey on Saturday will be Mettenberger. The other quarterbacks on the roster – including Jennings and Rettig – will be live.

“We want to scuff them up a little bit and see how they respond,” Miles said of the decision to make the other quarterbacks live.
