BATON ROUGE, La. – The LSU women’s tennis team will take on Kentucky in the first round of the Southeastern Conference Tournament on Wednesday, April 17 in Starkville, Miss., at 2 p.m. CT.
LSU earned the No. 14 seed and marked an overall 8-15 record with a 1-12 in conference during regular season play. No. 47 Kentucky is the 11th-seeded team after finishing 13-11 overall and 4-9 in the SEC.
The winner of Wednesday’s match will face sixth-seeded Vanderbilt, the No. 18 team in the nation, in the second round on Thursday.
The Lady Tigers faced a close 4-3 loss to Kentucky on March 3 at home. With a tied 3-3 score, the Wildcats notched the final point of the day in the third set of competition on court five.
LSU holds a 17-18 overall record against the Wildcats.
