FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The LSU Lady Tigers (8-14; 1-11 SEC) will wrap up their regular season against the No. 49 University of Arkansas (11-14; 3-9 SEC) Saturday at 1 p.m. CT at Billingsley Tennis Center.
“This is our final regular season match and last opportunity to build some momentum going into the SEC tournament,” head coach Julia S. Sell said. “I am looking for our team to be enthusiastic and allow themselves to swing freely.”
The Lady Tigers last faced the formerly 28th-ranked University of Tennessee Sunday and marked a 4-0 loss. Sophomore Mary Jeremiah was one game away from putting LSU on the board when the Vols notched the fourth point, and the match was ended.
Freshman Ella Taylor has won three of her last five matches, and she leads the team in dual match singles victories with 13 on the season, including five conference wins.
The senior pair of Ebie Wilson and Keri Frankenberger holds the team lead in dual match doubles this season, tallying nine overall wins.
LSU marks an 18-16 all-time advantage over the Arkansas Razorbacks.
