BATON ROUGE – LSU defensive end Barkevious Mingo and safety Eric Reid will both be in New York City for the NFL Draft in two weeks as the NFL officially announced their list of invitees to the three-day event on Wednesday afternoon.
The NFL Draft will be held April 25-27 at Radio City Music Hall in Manhattan. The first round will be held starting at 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 25 followed by the second and third rounds on Friday, and rounds four through seven on Saturday. ESPN, ESPN2 and the NFL Network will televise all seven rounds of the draft.
Mingo and Reid are two of the 23 players, including 10 from the Southeastern Conference, who were invited to be backstage in the green room at Radio City Music Hall for the opening round of the NFL Draft.
Mingo is expected to be the first LSU player selected as he’s projected as a top 10 overall pick by many draft experts. Reid is projected to be a mid-to-late first round selection.
