KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – The LSU Lady Tigers (8-13; 1-10 SEC) will conclude their weekend on the road against the No. 28 University of Tennessee (9-8; 6-4 SEC) Sunday at noon CT at Varsity Tennis Courts.
“Tennessee is a very well coached team that is known for their competitive spirit,” head coach Julia S. Sell said. “I expect another hard-fought match tomorrow.”
The Lady Tigers kicked off the weekend against the third-ranked University of Georgia Friday and faced a tough 7-0 loss to the Bulldogs.
Freshman Ella Taylor has won four of her last five matches, and she notched LSU’s lone point against the No. 29 University of South Carolina with a 4-6, 6-3, 6-4 victory over Elixane Lechemia on court three.
LSU holds a 13-24 all-time record against the Tennessee Volunteers.
