BATON ROUGE, La. – The LSU women’s tennis team (8-12; 1-9 SEC) will take on the third-ranked University of Georgia (15-2; 8-1 SEC) Friday at 3 p.m. CT at Dan Magill Complex.
“We are looking forward to another great opportunity against a top team,” head coach Julia S. Sell said. “With our Spring Break this past week, we were able to refresh our minds and prepare for our last few matches of the regular season.”
In LSU’s last outing, the Lady Tigers took on the University of South Carolina and faced a 5-1 loss, as play began with singles, and doubles was not played. Freshman Ella Taylor notched LSU’s lone point against the Gamecocks with a victory that advanced her to a four-match winning streak and captured her 20th career singles victory.
The Lady Tigers hold a 1-34 overall record against the Georgia Bulldogs.
