Three Golfers Earn All-America Honors

FRANKLIN, Ky. – The National Golf Coaches Association named three LSU Lady Tigers to All-American honors following the conclusion of the NCAA Women’s Golf Championships at their annual banquet.

Austin Ernst, Tessa Teachman and Madelene Sagstrom all earned honorable mention All-American honors for their play in the 2011-12 season.

Ernst is a sophomore who was the 2011 NCAA champion. Teachman, a Baton Rouge product who completed her senior season with an impressive third place finish in the championship, was one of only four players to shoot under par for the 72 holes and tied the second best finish ever for an LSU individual golfer in the event. Sagstrom, from Sweden, had a strong freshman season for the Lady Tigers.

The Lady Tigers finished a program best third for the second straight year, this year just two shots behind winner Alabama.
