Women's Golf Announces Signing of Nadine Dreher

BATON ROUGE – Karen Bahnsen, the coach of the nationally-ranked LSU women’s golf team, announced Wednesday the signing of Nadine Dreher of Vienna, Austria to a national letter of intent.

“We are very happy to have Nadine joining our golf program this coming fall,” said Bahnsen, whose team is preparing for the Southeastern Conference women’s championships April 19-21 in Fayetteville, Ark. “She is a very talented, hard worker who is developing into a very fine player and she is a very good student. She is a member of the Austrian National team and we are excited about her signing with our program.”

As a member of the Austrian National team she competed in the European Girls Championship this past year as well as being in the international field that gather in Miami in the fall for the Doral-Publix championship as part of the First Tee Program in the Miami area.

Ironically, Dreher caddied for pro golfer Caroline Hedwall, the twin sister of LSU senior golfer Jacqueline Hedwall, when Caroline won her third Ladies European Tour event in Austria this past September.

Dreher attends Realgymnasium in Vienna and will be eligible beginning in the fall semester for the Lady Tigers.
