Women's Tennis Travels to No. 2 Florida

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The LSU women’s tennis team (11-9, 4-5 SEC) wraps up its SEC road schedule at No. 2 Florida (16-1, 9-0 SEC) with play set for noon CT on Sunday.

“We have a great opportunity playing the defending national champions in Florida,” LSU head coach Tony Minnis said, “We just need to let loose and give our best shot.”

The Lady Tigers are 4-3 in their most-recent seven, as they have just two matches remaining in the regular season.

Keri Frankenberger earned the Lady Tigers’ only point in a 6-1 dual match loss to South Carolina on Friday. The Gainesville, Fla., native has now won six of her last 10 matches, and she is tied with Olivia Howlett for the team lead with an 11-8 singles record on the dual match season.

Frankenberger and Whitney Wolf own a team-best 10-8 mark in doubles on court one this spring.

Wolf and Howlett each own a pair of victories over ranked opponents this season. They are likely to face highly-rated adversaries again on Sunday with No.1 Allie Will and No. 19 Joanna Mather the probable Gator representatives on court one and two respectively.

Kaitlin Burns and Ariel Morton are 3-2 in their last five doubles matches on court three.
