Basketball's Spencer Ruled Ineligible for Fall
BATON ROUGE – LSU men’s basketball coach Trent Johnson announced on Friday that guard Bo Spencer is ineligible for participation for the fall semester with the team and must pass course hours in the fall to be eligible to rejoin the team at the end of that semester.
“We are disappointed for Bo, but our academic staff will continue to work to help him regain his eligibility,” said Johnson. “He must now work hard in the classroom to regain the chance to rejoin the basketball program.”
Spencer, from Baton Rouge, has played three years at LSU. He has started 63 of 93 career games averaging 9.8 points per game for his career, 2.2 rebounds and 2.2 assists. In the SEC championship year of 2009 he averaged 11.4 points per game and 14.5 points a season ago.
