Bourque, Martingayle Named to SEC Community Service Team

Baton Rouge, La. Hannah Bourque and Harrison Martingayle were named to the SEC Community Service Team on Wednesday for the sports of men’s and women’s track and field and cross country.

Bourque closed out her Purple and Gold career this spring on the track and she ran on the cross country team in the fall of 2018. Bourque completed 19 hours of community service this year by volunteering at a trick or treat outing at the St. James Nursing Home in October. She also spent time with Athletes of Hope and made cards for military members serving overseas, and she volunteered at the Pre Dental Society Dental Dash 5k run in April. Bourque spent time with LSU fans at the Halloween Boozar and assisted at Thanksgiving with the Tigers.

Martingayle logged 22 hours of community service this year, and just like Bourque, he volunteered with Thanksgiving with the Tigers and Halloween Boozar. The Virginia Beach native also helped out at local fishing tournaments over the summer when he was back home in Virginia, and he attended a MLK Festival wall painting project in late January at Howell Park in Baton Rouge.
