Schlattman Named to SEC Softball Community Service Team

BATON ROUGE – Senior catcher Michaela Schlattman was named to the 2019 SEC Community Service Team, the league announced on Wednesday at the start of the 2019 SEC Softball Tournament in College Station, Texas.

Schlattman has been a complete steward and true servant of the Baton Rouge community during her two years as an LSU Tiger. She has led the team in their efforts to promote ovarian cancer awareness through Coach Torina’s foundation Geaux Teal.

Schlattman has organized efforts for our team to volunteer at the Knock Knock Children’s Museum, where children learn valuable life skills through various activities.

She has been a constant advocate for supporting the local Miracle League and often serves as a coach for the team. Schlattman has also spent time volunteering at retirement home for bingo night and school fall festivals.

What’s On Deck

The Tigers head to the SEC Tournament this week and will face either Florida or South Carolina on Thursday at 11 a.m. The game will air live on SEC Network.
