Softball Heads into SEC Tournament with Top 10 Ranking

BATON ROUGE –The LSU softball team goes into the SEC Tournament ranked in the top 10 of the national polls, moving to No. 10 in the USA Today/NFCA Division I Coaches Poll and moving to No. 10 in the ESPN.com/USA Softball poll.

LSU has been ranked every week since the end of the 2014 season. The Tigers earned a total of 500 points in the NFCA poll. In the ESPN/USA Softball poll, the Tigers picked up 327 points.

The Tigers head out to the 2019 SEC Tournament this week and will face the winner of the Florida/South Carolina matchup. The Tigers will play Thursday, May 9, at 11 a.m. on SEC Network.
