Agie Moreno Named to SEC Community Service Team
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – LSU men’s tennis junior Agie Moreno has been named to the Southeastern Conference Community Service Team for his efforts in the community around the Baton Rogue area, the league announced Wednesday.
Moreno leads the charge in community service hours for the men’s tennis team in the 2018-19 school year.
The Guadalajara, Mexico native has spent multiple hours volunteering at the Knock Knock Museum, a local children’s museum intended to provide high-quality learning experiences for children located in under-resourced environment. The museum is also geared to expand knowledge in the STEM subjects while increasing early literacy skills through their specialized interactive exhibits.
On campus, Moreno has participated in the Halloween Boozar, Thanksgiving with the Tigers and has assisted with UREC Club Tennis.
Moreno and the LSU men’s tennis team will conclude the regular season at the LSU Tennis Complex this weekend. LSU will square off against Ole Miss Friday at 5 p.m. CT and will have a match honoring our seniors against Mississippi State Sunday at noon CT.
