Reminders and Info for NCAA Gymnastics Regional

BATON ROUGE – LSU will host nine of the nation’s top teams with two spots on the line to advance to NCAA Championships at the 2019 NCAA Gymnastics Baton Rouge Regional April 4-6 inside the Maravich Center.

The regional will begin on Thursday with the first round featuring No. 8 George Washington and No. 9 Lindenwood. The winner will advance to the second round on Friday. The afternoon session of round two will begin at 2 p.m. and will feature No. 6 Utah, No. 11 Minnesota, BYU and Arkansas.

The evening session will begin at 7 p.m. and will include the top-seed Tigers, No. 14 Auburn, Arizona State and the winner of the first round.

The top two teams from each second round session will advance to the Regional Final at 7 p.m. on Saturday. The top two teams will then advance to NCAA Championships April 19-20 in Fort Worth, Texas.

The third-ranked Tigers under the direction of head coach D-D Breaux will compete for their 30th NCAA Championships appearance, 15th regional title and eighth straight. This is the 36th NCAA Regional berth and 35th straight for the program. LSU has hosted an NCAA Regional 11 times and this marks the first since 2014.

Ticket Info
Tickets for the regional are available at LSUtix.net. All-session tickets are $16 for adults and $8 for youth (ages 3-12). Individual session tickets are also available now and $6 for adults and $3 for youth.

Tickets for groups of 25 or more are available for individual sessions and are $3 each. LSU’s season ticket holders who ordered in advance have had their tickets assigned.

Parking and Traffic
Similar to all season, lots 201, 300 and 106 will be reserved throughout the weekend. There will be limited ADA parking available in lot 300. Fan assistance shuttles will be available throughout the weekend with drop off in front of the PMAC. Fans are reminded that there is a full weekend of activities on campus and to expect large crowds and more traffic than usual.

Arena Operations
Doors will open 1.5 hours prior to start times for all four sessions. On Friday, the arena will be cleared between the second round sessions. Meet programs will be available all weekend at the LSU SportShop at Portal c.

Fans are reminded that LSU’s Geaux Clear policy is in effect for all sessions. The following bags are permitted inside LSU Athletic venues: clear 12” x 6” x 12” or smaller bags, clear 1-gallon freezer bags & clear or non-clear 4.5” x 6.5” (approximately the size of a person’s hand) wallets/wristlets/clutches. Guest Service Kiosks
Guest Services kiosks are located on the concourse at portal G and portal S and at the lower SE corner of the floor near Bars. All kiosks are staffed with Guest Services representatives who are available to answer questions and address issues throughout the meet. The kiosks are also equipped with fan amenities: posters, schedule cards, game programs, phone charging stations, etc.

A Guest Services hotline is available to better assist fans with questions before, during and after LSU Athletics competitions and events. The hotline is available Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and also surrounding LSU Athletics events. Guest Services representatives are happy to assist fans with all questions/issues or direct them to the appropriate personnel.
