Columbia, MO. – The No. 21-ranked LSU women’s tennis team will end this week’s road trip at noon CT on Sunday, March 24, when the Tigers take on Missouri at the Mizzou Tennis Complex.

The Matchup
LSU has a perfect 7-0 record against Missouri in the series history. When the Tigers met last season, LSU emerged victorious by a score of 4-2. LSU earned the doubles point with wins from the pairings of sophomore Eden Richardson and senior Jessica Golovin, and the duo of Ryann Foster and senior Kennan Johnson. Richardson and Golovin would also win their respective singles courts before sophomore Luba Vasilyuk clinched the match for LSU with a three-set victory at No. 5 singles.
Tiger Tidbits
The Tigers are 13-6 overall and 3-4 in SEC play on the season after defeating No. 46 Arkansas by a 4-3 scoreline on Friday at the Billingsley Tennis Center in Fayetteville.
No. 15-ranked Richardson earned her seventh ranked win of the season on Friday when she took down Martina Zerulo in a three set thriller, 5-7, 6-4, 7-5.
No. 60-ranked Golovin earned her tenth win of the season after defeating No. 79 Tatum Rice in straight sets, 6-2, 6-4.
In doubles, No. 10 Richardson and Golovin are 11-3 in the dual season and have five wins against ranked opponents.
Notes on Missouri
Missouri is 11-7 on the season and is 0-6 in SEC play. Last time out, Missouri fell to No. 11 Texas A&M, 5-0, at the Mizzou Tennis Center.
Missouri is led at the No. 1 singles position by Macken Middlebrooks. Middlebrooks has twelve wins this season, including an impressive straight set victory over Kentucky’s Justina Mikulskyte. In doubles, Middlebrooks is partnered with Ellie Wright and the duo has nine wins in the dual season.
